2021 was a huge year for Novi Connect. We expanded our ever growing list of standards and claims, launched our marketplace of innovative ingredients, fragrances and packaging, and raised $10.3M to help brands build better products.

Our mission is to make it simple for brands to create sustainable products. In the not too distant future, all consumer brands will transparently discover, sample and purchase materials for their products online, just like they do in their day-to-day consumer lives.

With that in mind, I’m excited to share some of my favorite updates we released in 2021 to help you build sustainable products and source compliant materials.

Check if your products are eligible with default policies and 100+ new standards 

Retailer, regulatory, and certification standards in the personal care space continue to evolve and become more complex. Novi makes it easy to keep your products up-to-date against standards like Clean at Sephora, Target Clean, EWG, and Cruelty-Free. 

To make this easier, you can now create default policies to quickly see which products meet the standards you care about most. In addition to your default policies, you can pick and choose ad hoc policies to apply directly on the Products page. View all standards ➜

Building at any stage in the product development cycle is faster and easier

Whether you’re in the ideation phase or reformulating a product to meet a standard, building a product has never been easier. There are three ways to build a product on Novi:
